The only difference with the current Gen 4 paddles, apart from an extremely competitive price is the shaft finish.
These Gen 3 full carbon paddles have either:
- a black matt finish
- dark red gloss finish
All other specs are offering the same high performance - efficient and effective for every paddler, regardless of craft: champion racers; world-class expedition paddlers; for local paddling clubs; cruisers and tourers.

- Oval shaft
- "Split" (the shaft is split) with Epic’s Length-Lock 2™ adjustable ferrule technology as standard, allowing the paddler to adjust the feather (angle of the blades) to suit personal preference, for left or right handed paddlers, and the length by up to 10cm.
Construction:
- Full Carbon - less flex, used by experienced paddlers or shorter distances.
The only remaining Gen 3 paddles in the sale are:
- Red gloss shaft 205-215cm with Mid Blade
- Black Matt shaft 210-220cm with Small Mid Blade
Three choices of shaft length, with a variation of up to 10cm in each:
- 205-215cm
- 208-218cm
- 210-220cm
