V5  Gen 2 in Composite or Rotomould

The most stable surfski in the Epic fleet and the ideal introduction to performance paddling. This ski has excellent stability giving inexperienced paddlers the confidence and ability to take it downwind, play in the surfzone and cruise flatwater with comfort and efficiency. The superior hull design means it rides the waves just as a surfski should, allowing even beginners to experience the speed and lightness on the water, without comparison. 

The V5 Surfski (Gen 2) is slightly longer, a touch narrower and lighter than the Gen 1 model, increasing performance without losing any stability. The beloved Epic surfski cockpit has been further improved for additional comfort, and aids in proper ergonomic posture, thus enabling the paddler to use a powerful forward stroke. Our signature cutaway front deck design allows a close, efficient catch at the start of every stroke. With an under-hull rudder and no storage hatch, it looks just like our existing V-series surfskis. How could you not love this ski?

Composite V5

Available in two lightweight composite constructions, Performance (black tip) and Ultra (red tip) the V5 Gen 2 is even easier to carry to and from the water and to unload from your car roof rack.

The V5 Surfski Gen 2 comes standard with under hull rudder, adjustable Epic foot brace, bow and stern handles, centre carry handles, rear deck bungees, water bottle holder and Epic’s patented bailer. A kick-up rudder can be fitted.

Rotomolded V5 

The ever popular V5 in the extremely durable Rotomolded layup is an excellent entry point to Surfski, opening up a whole new world of paddling.

Equally at home on the sea or the river and lakes, the excellent stability allows beginners to jump on and paddle with confidence but it also gives more experienced paddlers a short, stable surfski to use in big or rough conditions.

Sleek lines and Epic’s comfortable surfski cockpit make the V5 perfect vessel to learn downwind paddling and is absolutely great for playing in the surf zone.

An optional stern kick-up rudder can be easily added to the Rotomolded version with no modifications needed, to allow the V5 to be paddled in shallow or rocky areas, making this the perfect boat for exploring,
