Previously surfski was viewed as an inaccessible, racing, elite sport but the V8 opened the sport to be enjoyed by all, providing stability without compromising the surfing ability of a performance hull - it's a world leader, giving unrivalled performance with good stability and great manoeuvrability. Fast, yet extremely stable, this is the ski that most kayakers should be able to hop right onto and paddle off, hence being used by so many coaches to pass on efficient paddle technique and downwind surfski skills.

The deck features bow & stern carry handles, side handles and a water bottle holder in the cockpit. The Epic bailer, footrest and breather tube and Epic surfski rudder configurations are standard.

For the UK market only, the V8 is now built in the UK under licence to Epic by Kirton Kayaks, providing the best of all worlds. In the UK the V8 comes in two models:

• standard Surfski in Performance (black tip) or Ultra (red tip) constructions.  
• GT (Tourer) with front and back hatches, with the option to fit a sea kayak Smart Track Kick-up Rudder.
